Name: Bonnie stella sze (1) Date:22nd jan ‘08 Class:2/4 Title: Laksa ( a special meal Qn2) The image of the very first Laksa I ate still remains vividly in my memory . The blood-red soup and hot steam which fogged up my glasses made me think twice about eating it . Spicy food was not exactly my favorite type of food, but my friend strongly recommended me to eat this famous bowl of ‘Katong Laksa’. I decided to give it a shot. Surprisingly, the smell of the Laksa tantalized my taste buds . It looked really scary the first time I saw it, but the more I looked at it, the more it enticed me. I stared at that bowl of Laksa for the following few minutes. It was then that my mouth started watering and the suspense was unbearable . I took my very first mouthful of the Laksa. “Delicious!” I shouted in delight .The people around me started to stare at me, but I could not care less. I closed my eyes and started to savor the food moving my mouth slowly. The egg was quite tasteless but the other spices tasted really good! The soup was not as spicy as I expected it to be. It tasted just nice, not too saltish or too spicy. Neither was it bland. It carried a piquant taste. The noodles were really soft and they were cut into short lengths, so that the customer does not have to use chopsticks or forks but instead, the customer can scoop up the noodles with a spoon! The delicious taste of that bowl of ‘Katong Laksa’ left me speechless. It was not long before I finished the whole bowl of Laksa. I drank till the very last drop of soup and left the bowl empty. The stall owner stared at me in disbelief. He told me that I was the very first of his customers to finish the whole bowl of Laksa leaving no leftovers. I praised him for his good culinary skills and promised that it would not be long before I come back for more. This is my essay.

MY CNY HOLS!
I had alot of fun during the lunar new year holidays.I took a much needed break from school and
enjoyed it very much!On the eve of chinese new year,i stayed home wif my family and had reunion dinner together.
I had a sumptious meal, the food was very filling and delicious. The sad part was that i put on a few pounds due to the over-eating.
Luckily it is only once a year.the next day,on the first day of chinese new year,i went visiting with my cousins to collect 'ang baos' from
our married uncles and aunties. It was great fun as we played alot of games at their houses and did alot of catching up.
I met a few of my other cousins whom we only meet like once a year,we are not very close but it was really very nice to
see them. They changed alot! the guys became so much more handsome than before! The following few days were quite boring,i did more visiting and watched alot of tv.
I am looking forward to the next chinese new year and hope it will be much more eventful than this year's new year.

If i had an extra $100,000 and can't spend it on myself,i would..
Definitely give a huge amount to my aunt who has been bringing me up,she tries to give me the best but at the same time not spoiling me.
She treats me and my brother as her own and cares alot for us.The least i can do is to repay her,but i know that she will not accept the money..that is the sad part..
The rest of the money i would give to charity and the shelter.I wanna help those in need if i have the ability to do so. Both humans and animals.
people who do not have enough money for food and water cannot survive,so i hope the money could be of help.the animals need the money too! people who keep these animals
need means of keeping them alive. That's what i will do. XD
